The Dinner Party is a collection designed alongside a narrative fashion film which features the garments and the characters they create. The Dinner Party is an awkward coming of age story, inspired by the characters we play in trying to become ourselves and alternatively, the person we project to others. The collection is both uncomfortable and oddly alluring, existing within the transitional phase between adolescence and adulthood. There is a certain vulnerability in this time of our lives, and where there is vulnerability there is undoubtedly humour. Could the exposed midriff be a metaphor?
